There are apparently billboards that send out beams of sound into people’s ears. The technology works in such a way that if you were to walk in the path of the beam, you would hear the billboard’s message, but your friend, standing right next to you, wouldn’t. It’s a focused beam of sound that makes the people who come in contact with it feel like they’re wearing headphones. But others can’t hear the message unless they’re within the beam’s reach. What the hell is going on?
