The world’s largest bronze statue of a horse will be unveiled next week on Saturday, April 21, at the entrance to the El Paso Airport. The sculptor is John Houser. The original plan was to make it a statue of Don Juan de Onate, but following inevitable controversy, it now simply depicts a nameless Spaniard. Whatever your take on Onate, you’ve got to admit—that’s one big horse!
