Alright budding music journalists — the time has come. After announcing our Rock ‘n’ Report contest nearly a month ago, it’s time to reveal the winner. We read and re-read tens of entries from local music aficionados, a fly named Ming and the distant land of Portland, Oregon. After much deliberation, we finally narrowed it down to one:

Lucille King — a substitute teacher with a hankering for spicy food and Hip-hop, ready to set off to SXSW with two of her lady friends for a down right crazy time in Austin, Texas http://2006.sxsw.com/. Congrats Lucille! Keep those ears sharp and that pen even sharper for your debut as a real-life music journalist.
