When the lights dim, the moon is bright and the mood is just right … adults head to a children’s museum.Tonight, ¡explora! opens its doors to the 18-and-up crowd with its Adult Night, which runs every other month from 6:30-10 p.m. Check out all the exhibits, hands-on activities and scientific do-dads ¡explora! has to offer, kid-free. The theme tonight is “The Science of Food,” where you can experiment with sugars and starches, test foods to see what they actually contain, taste foods from local farmers and vendors, and make ice cream from liquid nitrogen, while taking in the tunes of Chris Dracup and Hillary Smith. Admission is $8, $5 for seniors, and free for ¡explora! members.
