Curious about the Pride festivities, but clueless on how to join in? We'll point you in the right direction. This year's event, themed “Equal Rights: No More, No Less,” is an opportunity to show your support and enjoy a variety of activities, including music, art, discourse and a parade. Thursday, June 9

6 p.m.–Opening dinner with the artist for exhibit of Stations: A Gay Passion by Delmas Howe, with special guest artist Judy Chicago and art critic Edward Lucie-Smith. The cost is $150 per person and will be held at the Hispanic Arts Building at Expo New Mexico. Reserve your seat by calling 301-3058.

Friday, June 10

10 a.m. to 5 p.m.–Public opening of Delmas Howe's Stations: a Gay Passion, Hispanic Arts Building. Suggested donation, $1.

6 p.m.–Pride VIP/sponsor reception and Art Show Awards; book signing by Harmony Hammond.

7 to 10 p.m.–Community reception for Stations: A Gay Passion exhibit including wine and cheese. Suggested donation, $10.

8 p.m.–Screening of the documentary The Truth or Consequences of Delmas Howe, Hispanic Arts Building. Wine and cheese included. Suggested donation, $10.

Saturday, June 11

8:30 to 10 a.m.–Parade lineup check-in at UNM's Johnson Field.

10 a.m.–Judging of motorized entries at lineup.

10:30 a.m.–Pride Parade! Slather on the sunscreen and claim your spot on the route, heading east on Central between San Pedro and Girard. Parking at Expo New Mexico, Gate 4 off San Pedro, $2 per car.

11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.–Pridefest at Expo New Mexico: over 100 vendors; four stages, including a main stage, children's stage, karaoke and drag stages; plus lots of food and drink. Admission is $3 adults, $1 kids.

11 a.m. and 3 p.m.–Showing of The Truth or Consequences of Delmas Howe documentary, Hispanic Arts Building. Suggested donation, $1.

1 p.m.–Tour by the artist of Stations: A Gay Passion. Delmas Howe takes you through his exhibit. Suggested donation, $1.

8 to 11 p.m.–Youth Dance at the School Arts Building
