Best Frito Pie

I like to drive to the Eastside and hit the Burger Boy—preferably after a long hike, but it’s always nice to get out of town, and that's a nice “quickie.”

Best Diner

I like to go to Loyola’s for a great diner experience; it’s close enough to walk to and the light fixtures and the pobrasito burrito make it worthwhile.

Best Delicatessen

Tucked in the back of the Grocery Emporium on Girard is an awesome deli with great sandwiches, chips, giant pickles and even tamales; a wonderful selection of various condiments and beverages!

Best Bakery

Patisserie C. For once, a bakery where the goodies actually taste as good as they look!

Best Huevos Rancheros

Not huevos rancheros, but huevos motulenos at Pasqual's in Santa Fe. Atmosphere is entertaining, wine list is awesome and I enjoy supporting other female chefs who bust their ass!!!

Shameless Self-Promotion (Sort of): Best Chef

Speaking of busting ass—the best food by far is coming out of Trattoria Nostrani in Santa Fe; another female chef who has the touch for perfectly prepared, perfectly presented and perfectly delicious food!
