Over the years, we’ve had dozens of chances to speak with Maggie Toulouse Oliver and her staff at the Bernalillo County Clerk’s Office. During hectic election seasons when they’re likely slammed with questions, the voice on the other end of the line is always ready to help us out. Maybe that doesn’t seem exceptional, but trust us: Prompt, accurate info is not the norm among governmental agencies. Toulouse Oliver seems well-organized, levelheaded and dedicated. She’s on the ballot completely unopposed, but BernCo voters are in good hands. Bernco.gov/clerk never lets us down. It’s easy to navigate, well-organized and up-to-date. That’s the bare minimum, given the needs of most modern voters.
