I think that they should have same-sex marriages. I don't see what the big problem is, personally. Maybe it's just how I grew up or what I was taught, but I don't see a problem. I mean, love is love. You know, we all love our friends and I don't understand why people can't love the same people that they are. So I think it's fine.

Jackie Mcfarland

No, because it's not constitutional in the first place and we were born into this world as a man and a woman and that's the way it's supposed to be. I believe that it wasn't intended to be a woman and a woman and a man and a man. It's just supposed to be woman and a man together and I do not believe in it. If there were gay marriages in America and everybody turned homosexual there won't be a world anymore. You know, because men and men cannot produce children and women and women cannot produce children—so there won't be a world.

Arthur Hadley

No. The fact that it's not constitutional and woman wasn't made for woman and man wasn't made for man. God made man for woman. You get woman with woman and man with man and there'll be all kinds of diseases. … That hurts our children in today's world. They see that and—like yesterday there were two 16 year olds holding hands and kissing on the bus—that's sad. If the married ones have kids or try to have kids, they're going to make them grow up gay. They won't have a choice because the way of that atmosphere.

Vanessa Acuna

I think they should be allowed to get married. If they want to be together than it's the same as a man and a woman except they're the same sex. I think they should—I really think they should.

Mary Ellen Gutierez

At first I would say no … that I'm against gay people. But my daughter's gay and the girl she's been with has been with her for four years and they've been raising my grandson. They've been together a long time and I wouldn't say they should do it but with my daughter, they love each other. And why not? If you love each other, why does it have to be a girl or a man? It could be a girl, it could be a man, as long as you love each other and take care of each other, I think it should be legal.

Angel Mata

I think that yes, they should institute marriage for gay individuals because everybody else has the opporunity to get married. Why, based on their sexual preference, should they not be able to be married?

Dain Vasina

No, I don't believe gay marriages should be allowed in any of the United States. I think that if same-sex couples- gays- wish to live together, they have the right to. But now they want to have a sort of legal stamp of approval on them and I think that marriage is something that should be a little more sacred and should remain sacred.
