Spend a buck or two at these joints and defeat the big-box bullies. The problem compiling this list lies in the tendency for thrift shops to just pop up here and there. Churches and religious organizations often have them on site. There are plenty of consignment shops and other places to buy good used stuff out there, but I didn’t want to spiral too far down the rabbit hole.
