A wayward goat, arrested for trespassing in a neighbor’s yard, has apparently been released on bail. The “unnamed goat” made the mistake of hopping the fence of a local magistrate and grazing in his garden in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh. The owner of the goat, Abdul Hassan, was called into police custody after district magistrate Hemant Ratre complained that the goat had repeatedly jumped the fence and snacked on his garden. “My goat scaled the boundary wall again and ate flowers and vegetables from the garden,” Hassan admitted to India’s NDTV. “It was taken to the police station and then the police brought me in.” Assistant Sub Inspector RP Srivastava told local media the goat’s owner had been warned many times. This time the judge “filed a complaint and we arrested the goat and its owner,” Srivastava said. Hassan and the goat were eventually released on bail. They both reportedly face charges of criminal trespassing and mischief causing damage.

According to the
Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, a Wisconsin motorist tried to blame his 10th Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated charge on a dinner of beer-battered fish. John Przybyla, 76, was arrested in October 2014, after a deputy noticed his truck veering across the center line of a state highway. After noticing Przybyla’s breath smelled like alcohol, the deputy administered a field sobriety test, which the driver failed. Przybyla denied consuming alcohol and told the deputy he had eaten beer-battered fish earlier in the evening. A subsequent blood-alcohol test put Przybyla’s level at .062 according to news sources. That number is below the state’s legal limit of .08—but residents with three or more drunk driving convictions can only have a .02 blood-alcohol level. Earlier this month in court, Przybyla repeated his beer-battered fish defense. The jurors didn’t believe him, finding him guilty of his 10th OWI offense, operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration and driving with a revoked license. Przybyla faces up to 12.5 years for the conviction.

According to Polk County Circuit Court records, a Wisconsin couple allowed their 9-year-old daughter to drive them and their 11-month-old baby home because they were too drunk to do it themselves. Jason Roth, 36, and Amanda Eggert, 32, pleaded not guilty in a court appearance on Feb. 5. The two were charged with recklessly endangering safety and neglecting a child. A sheriff’s deputy responded to a call about an erratic driver on the night of Jan. 31 and found the couple and their children parked at a boat drop in Polk County, about 75 miles northeast of Minneapolis. Roth and Eggert were arrested when the deputy determined that the couple’s 9-year-old daughter was driving the pickup because her parents were too drunk.

A Palm Beach County man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, petty theft and unlawful possession or transporting of an alligator after he allegedly tossed an alligator through the drive-thru window of a fast food restaurant. Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation officials say 24-year-old Joshua James drove his pickup truck to a Wendy’s in Royal Palm Beach around 1:20am on Oct. 11 of last year and threw a 3.5-foot alligator into the restaurant via the drive-thru window. No one was injured. The animal was captured and released back into the wild. James, who later said he found the reptile on the side of the road, was tracked by police through surveillance videos. James’ mother, Linda, told WPTV that her son’s actions were a “stupid prank.” Speaking to the West Palm Beach station earlier this month, she admitted, “He does stuff like this because he thinks it’s funny.” James was formally arrested and charged on Tuesday, Feb. 9. A judge set his bond at $6,000 and ordered him to stay out of all Wendy’s locations.

An overly amorous couple are facing felony charges after authorities say they were recorded having sex in public during a 30-minute ride in a glass-enclosed cabin on a Ferris wheel. A Las Vegas judge is currently deciding if 27-year-old Phillip Frank Panzica III, from Houston, and 21-year-old Chloe Scordianos, from New York, should stand trial. The two were arrested on Feb. 5 after riding alone on the High Roller, a glass-walled Ferris wheel that reaches heights of 550 feet above the Las Vegas Strip. Police say surveillance cameras captured the act, and people in another cabin shot a cellphone video. Scordianos’ lawyer said the couple got busy on the ride under “reasonable expectation of privacy” protections.
