Tis’ the season for giving, and giving is awesome when it comes in the form of music. 104.1 The Edge and Sunshine Theater will be sponsoring the Not So Silent Night on Wednesday, Dec. 10, featuring Drive A, Innerpartysystem, 3OH!3 and Shiny Toy Guns.

With Christmas around the corner, this concert comes with a twist–it’s all about giving back to Albuquerque. Instead of purchasing a ticket, concertgoers can donate a new toy worth $10 or more to various locations and receive a free ticket to the benefit show.

“Charity is very satisfying and rewarding,” says Nate Motte of
3OH!3. “We had an awesome opportunity to do a few benefit shows in Colorado for Trick or Vote on various college campuses.”

Although it’s not the headliner, 3OH!3 seems to be the excitement of the show. After playing a nonstop Warped Tour, 3OH!3’s lyrical style gave people something to laugh about and remember them for.

During Buck n’ Dex’s morning show on the Edge, the guys commended 3OH!3 for the witticisms of the group’s hit song “Don’t Trust Me”–"Tell your boyfriend, if he says he’s got beef, we’ll I’m a vegetarian and I ain’t fucking scared of him."

“We have been selling out shows on our tour since the summer,” Motte says. “It’s incredible to see the crowds grow larger and larger.” Motte and fellow vocalist Sean Foreman say they try to stay humble and stable during their touring frenzy. Benefit shows are one way to do it.

“If you are in a position to give back to a community and bring in crowds of people, charity and benefit shows are great to do. Don’t worry–we’ve amassed a bunch of toys from the tour. We’re going to bring some sweet shit for the benefit. We are ready to rock out and give it all to Albuquerque.”

There are seven more opportunities to donate a toy and snag your ticket to the show before Dec. 10. For more information on the locations, visit
