Dr. Ira ("Ike") Padnos runs the Ponderosa Stomp Foundation, a nonprofit that "exists to acknowledge, pay tribute to, and teach the cultural significance of the unsung heroes and heroines of rock-n-roll, rhythm & blues and other forms of American roots music—while they are still alive."The mission is complex, but the means is simple: Get those old guys out and let them play.Doc.
