The Week in Sloth
“Parks and Recreation” (KOB-4 8:30 p.m.) Leslie (Amy Poehler) meets Ben’s parents (guest stars Jonathan Banks from “Breaking Bad” and Glenne Headly from Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) for the first time.
“GT Academy” (Spike TV 9:30 p.m.) The 16 fastest Gran Turismo 5 gamers in America compete to become the driver of a real, actual, non-virtual race car. Next step: moving out of their real, actual, non-virtual parents’ garages.
“Malibu Country” (KOAT-7 7:30 p.m.) Reba McEntire plays a Nashville woman who leaves her cheatin’ hubby and moves with the young ’uns to California. Imagine that: People from Tennessee living in California. What will they think of next?
Christmas Song (Hallmark 6 p.m.) Sorry, Hallmark Channel just couldn’t hold it any longer. At least they waited until after Halloween to unwrap the first of roughly 63 Christmas-themed romantic movies.
Love at the Thanksgiving Day Parade (Hallmark 6 p.m.) Oh, hell. Thanksgiving. They forgot about Thanksgiving. It’s OK, they can still squeeze in a few dozen Thanksgiving-themed romances, and then right back to the Christmas-themed romances.
SEAL Team Six: The Raid on Osama Bin Laden (National Geographic 6 p.m.) Beating Kathryn Bigelow’s theatrical feature Zero Dark Thirty by at least a month is NG’s dramatized version of Bin Laden’s death. Cam Gigandet (Easy A), Anson Mount (“Hell on Wheels”), Freddy Rodriguez (“Six Feet Under”) and rapper-turned-actor Xzibit star. Republicans think it’s all an evil plot to get Obama reelected.
“America’s Doomsday Plan” (Discovery 8 p.m.) We have a doomsday plan? Zombie-, God- or space alien-related?
“Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations” (Travel 7 p.m.) After nine seasons on the air, chef / writer Anthony Bourdain closes out his long-running travel show—appropriately enough—back home in Brooklyn.
“Witness” (HBO 7 p.m.) HBO’s new documentary series about combat photojournalists starts out on the bad streets of Juárez.
“Jesse James: Outlaw Garage” (Discovery 8 p.m.) Oh, lord. This tattooed jerk is still around?
“Deals from the Darkside” (Syfy 8 p.m.) “Eccentric relic collector” and “Dark Master of Escape” (guy wears a lot of hats) Steve Santini travels the world looking for “undeniably supernatural” antiques like ... a Titanic deck chair. Not sure what’s supernatural about that, but whatever floats your boat (so to speak), dude.
“LOLwork” (Bravo 9 p.m.) Ever wonder who’s behind those hilarious internet cat memes? Sorry, “No” is not an option. Here Bravo takes a docureality look behind the scenes of Seattle’s largest web-based humor-publishing site ICanHasCheezburger.com.
