I approached a sign. Could it be... A local donut shop that creates its own cakes from the soul? When I was young, growing up in Southern Massachusetts, we celebrated Halloween with homemade treats. Our family was our neifgborhood and the foods were a fusion of the families that resided there. One of my favorite treats from Halloween was a cake much like a raised yeast donut with a cross created on the top with raisins, dipped in cinnamon and sugar. The donuts here remind me of that time of halloween. No cross, but then again, it did seem to be filled with "soul."
