Thursday 2

“My Name is Earl” (KOB-4 7 p.m.) Roseanne Barr is back! On tonight’s “Earl,” she plays the manager of a trailer park. You’ve got to admire the woman for playing against type.

“Ugly Betty” (KOAT-7 7 p.m.) Producer Salma Hayek finally gets around to guest starring on her imported hit, significantly reducing the “ugly” factor.

Friday 3

“Class of 3000” (Cartoon Network, 9 p.m.) Despite its producer/star (André Benjamin from OutKast) and its late time slot, this musical toon is fairly kiddie-oriented. Benjamin plays a pop star who quits showbiz to teach music at his old Atlanta-area school. The music is hot stuff, but the lessons are pure “Fat Albert.”

“Law & Order” (KOB-4 9 p.m.) In a continuing quest to steal all of its storylines from the front page, Chevy Chase stars as a Mel Gibson-ish star who gets busted for drunk driving and spouts some very un-P.C. epithets to the cops.

Saturday 4

Totally Awesome (VH1 7 p.m.) This spoofy Scary Movie -esque parody is billed as a “long lost” teen comedy from the ’80s. The cliché love story, the big hair and the outrageous fashions are all here, along with stars Chris Kattan, Dominique Swain and Brittany Daniel. (Be on the lookout for a Jon Cryer cameo as well.)

“Roseanne Barr: Blonde and Bitchin’” (HBO 11 p.m.) See, I told you Roseanne was back. Here, she’s got her very own standup special.

Sunday 5

“The Simpsons” (KASA-2 7 p.m.) Believe it or not, it’s time for the XVII th annual “Treehouse of Horrors” episode. Tonight, Kang and Kodos become an occupying force when their alien invasion turns Springfield into the new Baghdad.

Monday 6

“The 40 th Annual CMA Awards” (KOAT-7 7 p.m.) The Country Music Association Awards are only interesting if Johnny Cash plays or the Dixie Chicks are there to get booed off stage–neither of which are gonna happen tonight.

“CMA Red Carpet 2006” (CMT 8 p.m.) It’s a little weird that CMT’s red carpet coverage of the CMA Awards begins an hour after the show starts (when, I would assume, most who are interested are watching the actual show on ABC). Still, if you’re only concerned with country music fashions (“It’s a black cowboy hat, ladies and gentlemen. Followed by another black cowboy hat. And … another black cowboy hat!”), this is the show for you. Plus, it is providing Kellie Pickler with an hour’s worth of employment.

Tuesday 7

“NBC News: Decision Day” (KOB-4 7 p.m.) NBC cuts in early with its election night coverage. ABC’s “Vote 2006” and CBS’ “Campaign 2006” start at 9 p.m. Democrats, keep your fingers crossed. Republicans, call up your pals at Diebold.

Wednesday 8

Underfunded (USA 8 p.m.) Mather Zickel (“Reno 911”) stars in this action comedy as a Canadian super-spy who is constantly embarrassed by his organization’s inadequate funds.
