Thursday 9

“Supernatural” (KWBQ-19 8 p.m.) Linda Blair ( The Exorcist , don’t you know) guest stars as a small-town cop haunted by ghosts.

Friday 10

“Man vs. Wild” (Discovery 8 p.m.) First of all, this new show is essentially a rehash of “Survivorman,” in which some tough dude gets dumped in the middle of nowhere with nothing but his survival skills. Second of all, the guy’s name is Bear Grylls (pronounced “grills”). That’s just a little too “Grizzly Adams” for me.

“MXC” (Spike 10 p.m.) A whole new season of Spike’s ludicrously dubbed Japanese gameshow starts tonight. Who are the teams? How about the Religious Right vs. Gay Rights. Sounds timely to me. … Just so long as somebody gets dinged in the nuts.

Saturday 11

I Trust You To Kill Me (VH1 7 p.m.) Seems like every actor has a rock band these days. (If I see one more picture of Jared Leto and his smeared eye shadow, I’m gonna scream.) Here’s a documentary about indie rock act Rocco DeLuca & the Burden. The only reason to watch is the fact that Kiefer Sutherland is one of “the Burden.” (Actually, he’s just the road manager, but close enough.)

Sunday 12

Casino Royale (BBC America 4:30 p.m.) Before you check out the newest James Bond film (hitting theaters on the 17 th ), you might want to take a look back at this 1967 version. It’s a “parody” directed by five different people and starring Peter Sellers as one of several James Bonds. Odd but intriguing.

“Masterpiece Theater” (KNME-5 9 p.m.) Helen Mirren (currently starring in Oscar bait The Queen ) returns for the swan song of her famed detective character Superintendent Tennison in Prime Suspect: The Final Act . Seems Tennison is on the verge of retirement and none too happy about it.

“Moral Orel” (Cartoon Network 1:15 a.m.) CN’s deftly done parody of the old “Davey & Goliath” toons returns for another season of poking fun at the religious right. What better medium to do that in than clay?

Monday 13

Stroker Ace (Speed 8 p.m.) When you’re reduced to showing Stroker Ace , you’ve officially depleted your stockpile of watchable car-based movies. There’s nowhere to go from here … except maybe Smokey & the Bandit Part 3: Smokey is the Bandit .

Tuesday 14

“Show Me the Money” (KOAT-7 8:30 p.m.) I like William Shatner. I do. Even modern-day “joke” William Shatner. But this is just sad. It’s another no-concept TV gameshow. It’s got Shatner, some trivia questions, a million-dollar prize and a bunch of sexy dancers all thrown together on a cheap, overlit stage. Captain Kirk deserves better than this “Deal or No Deal” wannabe.

“3 lbs.” (KRQE-13 9 p.m.) Yes, it’s another doctor show. But in this one, they’re all brain surgeons.

Wednesday 15

“Day Break” (KOAT-7 8 p.m.) “Lost” takes a break for a couple months for this high-concept “thriller.” Despite the “thriller” label, it’s just a knockoff of Groundhog Day with Taye Diggs ( Chicago ) reliving the same 24 hours over and over again.
