“Half-Pint Mockumentary” (TV Land 9 p.m.) TV Land celebrates the holiday at hand with a “Thanksgiving on the Prairie” marathon, featuring three episodes of “Little House on the Prairie” and this curiosity piece. It’s a mockumentary (obviously) about an obsessive rock band named after Pa’s affectionate nickname for Laura Ingles Wilder. The members (men and women) even dress in prairie skirts, bonnets and pigtails. … What are they smoking at TV Land?

Friday 24

“Toy Fair 2006” (HGTV 7 p.m.) Today is Black Friday, the biggest shopping day of the year. HGTV celebrates with a trip to the International Toy Fair in New York to check out all the hot new toys I (and your kids, I suppose) will be demanding for Christmas.

Saturday 25

Basilisk: The Snake King (Sci-Fi 7 p.m.) Programmers at Sci-Fi Channel have never met a giant snake they didn’t like. So here’s the latest in a long, uninterrupted string of massive reptile monster movies for your viewing pleasure.

“Assy McGee” (Cartoon Network 12:30 a.m.) What makes this hard-boiled, gun-toting, loose-cannon detective show different from all the other hard-boiled, gun-toting loose-cannon detective shows on TV? Well, first of all, it’s animated. Second of all, the main character is a talking butt.

Monday 27

“Threshold” (Sci-Fi 7 p.m.) If you were a fan of this short-lived alien invasion series, you might want to tune in tonight, as Sci-Fi shows off three previously unaired episodes.

“O.J. Simpson: How I Did It” (KASA-2 8 p.m.) Ha, ha. I’m afraid not, O.J. Not even scumbag moneygrubbing opportunist Rupert Murdock had the stones to air this thing, yanking it and the subsequent book off the schedule mere days after the entire world expressed its outrage at the possibility of hearing Simpson narrate a “fictional confession” about how he “would have” killed his wife. If he had. Which he didn’t. Legally speaking.

“10 Items or Less” (TBS 9 p.m.) This partially improvised sitcom takes place inside a long-unexploited comedy location: the neighborhood grocery store. This one has recently been inherited by an unsuccessful young entrepreneur (John Lehr) now forced to take over the family business.

“A Charlie Brown Christmas” (KOAT-7 7 p.m.) ’Tis the season. Stick around afterward for “Charlie Brown Christmas Tales,” a series of vignettes involving each member of the “Peanuts” gang.

“Big Day” (KOAT-7 8 p.m.) This midseason replacement sitcom borrows a trick from “24,” giving us a real-time, minute-by-minute account of one harried couple’s wedding day. … Just so long as Kim Bauer isn’t there to get caught in a cougar trap.

Wednesday 29

“Christmas in Rockefeller Center” (KOB-4 7 p.m.) In this 74th annual presentation, host Al Roker welcomes Christina Aguillera, Enya, Taylor Hicks, Martina McBride and Lionel Richie out into the frosty New York air to butcher traditional Christmas carols.
