Thursday 5

“Happy Birthday, Elton” (KASY-50 7 p.m.) MyNetworkTV tries to add a little star power, hosting a celebrity-interview-and-concert-footage-filled birthday salute to Elton John.

“30 Rock” (KOB-4 7:30 p.m.) NBC’s increasingly funny sitcom returns with a guest appearance by Will Arnett, the former “Arrested Development” star who’s currently adding laughs to Blades of Glory .

“Human Giant” (MTV 11:30 p.m.) It’s hard to keep track of all the alterna sketch comedy hitting the airwaves these days. This quartet (Aziz Ansari, Rob Huebel, Paul Scheer and Jason Woliner) specializes in super-short, no-budget skits and reality gags obviously inspired by Internet viral videos.

Friday 6

“P. Diddy Presents The Bad Boys of Comedy” (HBO 1 a.m.) To hell with Diddy. The Original Human Beatbox, Doug E. Fresh, hosts! Six minutes. Six minutes. Six minutes, Doug E. Fresh, you’re on. Uh uh on. Uh uh on. Uh uh-uh uh-uh uh uh on.

Saturday 7

Kaw (Sci-Fi 7 p.m.) Killer ravens. In case you were wondering.

The Ten Commandments (KOAT-7 6 p.m.) It may be on Saturday this year and not Easter Sunday proper; but in my book, watching this still counts as going to church.

“America’s Cutest Puppies” (WEtv 7 p.m.) Seriously? This is all it takes to run a cable network? Pictures of cute puppies? Wow. It must have taken three monkeys and a guy with a lobotomy a whole lunch hour to come up with a concept like that.

Sunday 8

“Masterpiece Theater: The Wind in the Willows” (KNME-5 9 p.m.) It’s probably too stuffy for kids, but this new adaptation of Kenneth Grahame’s classic children’s tale does feature the likes of Bob Hoskins ( Mona Lisa ), Imelda Staunton ( Vera Drake ) and Matt Lucas (“Little Britain”).

“The Sopranos” (HBO 10 p.m.) Now that you mention it, I do vaguely recall a show with this title.

“Entourage” (HBO 11 p.m.) As good as it is to see “The Sopranos” belt out its swan song, I’m even more excited for a new season of “Entourage,” which is really hitting its comic stride. It’s good to have the boys back. Now kiss and make up with Ari already.

Monday 9

“Thank God You’re Here” (KOB-4 8 p.m.) NBC kicks off the great summer wasteland of reruns and reality shows a bit early with a series that might actually be worth a laugh or two. In it, celebrity funnypeople (tonight: Jennifer Coolidge, Bryan Cranston, Joel McHale and Wayne Knight) compete in an improvisation contest where the performers are dumped into random sketch scenes with the titular catchphrase as their only introduction to what the hell is going on.

Tuesday 10

“Dog the Bounty Hunter” (A&E 7 p.m.) A whole new season and our boy is still fighting that whole “extradition to Mexico on criminal charges” thing. Kinda ironic, don’tcha think?

Wednesday 11

“Shear Genius” (Bravo 9 p.m.) It’s a reality show competition for models, designers, chefs, hairstylists!
