Fat Slice— Have your cake and eat it too this weekend when the Readymade Dance Theater Company (RDTC) debuts Version 2.0 , a streamlined, user-friendly contemporary dance performance choreographed by RDTC founder and director Zsolt Palcza. The show will be unveiled at cake, the company’s new performance studio located at 4011 Silver SE. Version 2.0 features performances by Jen Hipscher, Mateo Sarria and Sarah Wright, with lighting design by Gordon Kennedy. It runs Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. through May 5. $7 general, $5 students/seniors. For tickets, call 980-5273.
La Taberna del Puerto — Set in an imaginary fishing village in the north of Spain, a new production of Pablo Sorozabel‘s operetta La Taberna del Puerto runs this weekend at the National Hispanic Cultural Center. This “nautical romance” is presented in partnership with Teatro Nuevo Mexico. The show runs Friday, April 20, and Saturday, April 21, at 8 p.m. with a Sunday, April 22, matinee show at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20, $30 and $35. Order by calling (505) 724-4771.
