Thursday 27

“Marked” (History 7 p.m.) Like a middle-aged housewife pricing out a butterfly tramp stamp, History Channel gets belatedly hip with this series about the sociological history of tattoos. Tonight’s premiere looks at tats behind bars.

“Pranked” (MTV 11:30 p.m.) A hidden-camera prank show? Genius! Where do you come up with your ideas, MTV? … And why not just call it “Prank’d” while you’re at it?

Friday 28

Summer Under the Stars: Frank Sinatra (TCM 4 a.m.) It’s all Sinatra, all day. TCM celebrates the film work of Ol’ Blue Eyes with a mega-marathon: 1944’s Higher and Higher , 1944’s Step Lively , 1948’s The Kissing Bandit , 1945’s Anchors Aweigh , 1949’s On the Town , 1949’s Take Me Out to the Ball Game , 1959’s Never So Few , 1958’s Some Came Running , 1956’s High Society , 1955’s The Tender Trap , 1962’s Sergeants 3 and 1954’s Suddenly .

Saturday 29

“The 25 th Anniversary of WrestleMania” (KOB-4 8 p.m.) Honestly, WrestleMania didn’t get cooking until the justifiably famous WrestleMania III. Still, the 1985 franchise debut did feature Hulk Hogan and Mr. T fighting Rowdy Roddy Piper and “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff. (Piper and Orndorff got robbed!) Hence, the New Coke-hating, parachute pants-wearing teenager in me is well-pleased.

Sunday 30

“The Tyra Show’s Top Ten Moments” (The CW 5 p.m.) Doesn’t “The Soup” do a pretty thorough job of this on a weekly basis?

“The 36 th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards” (The CW 7 p.m.) Holy cow, CW, that’s quite a coup, stealing the Emmy Awards telecast away from … Oh, wait. Daytime Emmys? Never mind.

Futurama: Into the Wild Green Yonder (Comedy Central 10 p.m.) The final “Futurama” movie airs before FOX gets down to making the loooooong-waited new (yes, new ) season. You’ll have to wait until next year before you see any of it, of course. So make this one last.

Monday 31

“CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock” (KOAT-7 7 p.m.) Why do country musicians spend so much time these days insisting they “rock”? If they rocked, wouldn’t they be rock stars as opposed to country stars? And if they really want to rock, why are they still playing country music?

Tuesday 1

“Andrew Zimmern’s Bizarre World” (Travel 8 p.m.) Apparently, host Andrew Zimmern has eaten all the bizarre food he can stomach. Now, he’s just traveling.

Wednesday 2

“CBS Fall Preview” (KRQE-13 7:30 p.m.) Preseason football and fall TV previews. Yup, summer’s over.

“Glee” (KASA-2 7:58 p.m.) In case you missed this boisterous, funny pilot on its first (really premature) airing, FOX has brought it back, complete with previously unseen footage.
