Thursday 4

“Surviving Survivor” (KRQE-13 7 p.m.) Look back on the greatest moments in “Survivor” history while simultaneously being exposed to a sneak preview of the upcoming season of “Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains.”

Friday 5

“The Edge of Never” (Showtime 6 p.m.) This one’s described as a coming-of-age extreme skiing documentary about Kye Petersen, whose dad—extreme ski champ Trevor Petersen—died when when his son was only 6 years old. Nine years later, little Kye challenged the very mountain that took his dad’s life. Yeah, screw you, dangerous vertical incline!

Smallville: Absolute Justice (KWBQ-19 7 p.m.) Technically, this is just two episodes back-to-back. But eager fans know it as something different: the full-on feature film debut of the Justice Society of America. Tonight, we’ll get to see a whole mess of actual superheroes in actual superhero costumes—something of a rarity in this “realistic” show. We’re talking Stargirl, Martian Manhunter, Hawkman, Doctor Fate. Even Superman (or Superboy or whatever) gets to wear a costume. Sure, it’s a ridiculous, outdated black leather Matrix getup, but still!

Saturday 6

“Living with the Dead” (ID 6 p.m.) I’m gonna go with “another amateur ghost hunter show.” … Well, whatta ya know: I win another one.

Temple Grandin (HBO 6 p.m.) This new movie staring Claire Danes is a biopic about Dr. Temple Grandin, an autistic woman who became famous for developing ethical ways of euthanizing cattle. Weird as that sounds, I’m assured she’s an interesting person.

“Soul Train: The Hippest Trip in America” (VH1 6 p.m.) Celebrate Don Cornelius’ 1971-1993 music show that had the “sound comin’ outta Philly that’s sure enough dilly.” … Huh. I’m still not funky enough to understand that.

Sunday 7

“Puppy Bowl VI” (Animal Planet 1 p.m.) Really, it’s all about the half-time show.

“Undercover Boss” (KRQE-13 8 p.m.) CBS gives the plum post-Super Bowl slot to this new reality show in which corporate CEOs work like real people for a week or so.

Monday 8

“Celebrity Fit Club” (VH1 7 p.m.) Who’s fat and shameless now? Kevin Federline, Shar Jackson, Bobby Brown, Nicole Eggert, Sebastian Bach. … Hmm, no surprises there.

Tuesday 9

“Venom in Vegas” (Animal Planet 7 p.m.) Some guy named Donald Schultz lives with snakes in full view of the public for 10 days on the Las Vegas Strip. The worst part? Interacting with the public for 10 days on the Las Vegas Strip.

“Past Life” (KASA-2 8 p.m.) In this supernatural crime drama, a New Age therapist regresses people back to their past lives so she can find out who murdered them. So will every show be about Cleopatra?

“The Jay Leno Show” (KOB-4 9 p.m.) Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out of prime time, Jay.

Wednesday 10

“A Charlie Brown Valentine” (KOAT-7 7 p.m.) You’d think, after all these years, you’d learn, Charlie Brown. You are not good with holidays. Just stay home in bed.
