Regret is a terrible emotion with which to live. It can gnaw at you for years, trapping you in a sad cycle of longing and self-recrimination. Do not let this happen to you. The deadline for our seventh annual Photo Contest is nigh. Go to alibi.com and click on “Photo Contest 2010” for all you need to know about how to enter. Get your submissions in by 11:59:59 p.m. on Sunday, March 14. Like most things that happen on the Ides of March, late entries are unlucky and will not be considered. The Photo Contest issue hits the streets on March 25. Don’t hate yourself for missing out.
Albuquerque, though we may love it, has its share of sketchiness; like the neighbor who keeps putting baby doll heads in your mailbox, or the grocery store that smells like murder. Thankfully, the students of CNM are doing their part to bring sketchiness a whole new meaning with Sketchy , an evening of short pieces written by CNM faculty and students. The show runs at The Vortex (2004 1/2 Central SE) this weekend only, March 11 through 14, with performances Thursday through Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 6 p.m. Tickets are $7, and reservations can be made at vortexabq.org or by calling 247-8600. Any weirdness is intentional and won’t bring down property values.
