Thursday 18

“FlashForward” (KOAT-7 7 p.m.) The spring season premiere of ABC’s sci-fi drama begins with the possibility of another flash forward for the planet.

Afghan Star (HBO 7 p.m.) Afghani performers risk their lives to appear on a homegrown version of “American Idol” in this song-filled documentary. It’s like “Glee,” but with the added possibility of being stoned to death by Taliban members.

Friday 19

“Thin Ice” (KOAT-7 7 p.m.) Damn it! I thought we were done with figure skating.

Kitten With a Whip (TCM Midnight) This 1964 juvenile delinquent drama is proof positive that even the junkiest of plots can be enlivened by the presence of a twentysomething Ann-Margret.

Kingdom of the Spiders (IFC 10:30 p.m.) This 1977 nature-gone-wild horror film is proof positive that even the junkiest of plots can be made junkier by the presence of a fortysomething William Shatner.

Saturday 20

The Ruling Class (TCM 10 p.m.) Peter O’Toole is awesome in this uncategorizable 1972 film about a crazy British earl who thinks he’s Jesus … or maybe Jack the Ripper.

Sunday 21

Breaking Bad” (AMC 8 p.m.) Walt copes with the breakdown of his marriage, Jesse tries out rehab, and we’ve got a third season of AMC’s addictive drug-dealing drama underway.

“Jerseylicious” (Style 8 p.m.) Sigh. I was really hoping this whole MTV “Jersey Shore” thing would not become a “thing.” Apparently, it has.

“Kirstie Alley’s Big Life” (A&E 8 p.m.) Oh, look, another reality show in which Kirstie Alley tries to lose weight.

“Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution” (KOAT-7 9:01 p.m.) British chef Jamie Oliver attempts to change the eating habits of unhealthy Americans. This from the guy who got famous making sausage fry-ups for his drunk friends?

Monday 22

“Dancing with the Stars” (KOAT-7 7 p.m.) TV, at this point, you’re just a Kate Gosselin enabler. Knock it off!

“Nurse Jackie” (Showtime 8 p.m.) Showtime’s blackly humorous hospital drama returns for a second season.

Tuesday 23

“Survivors” (BBC America 7 p.m.) Less than a week after the first season ends, BBC races ahead with the second season of this “virus wipes out 99 percent of humanity” sci-fi drama.

“V” (KOAT-7 9:06 p.m.) Remember last fall when ABC aired those first four episodes of “V”? Well, the rest of the season is coming soon. Until then, here’s a little first episode refresher.

Wednesday 24

“MythBusters” (Discovery 7 p.m.) The eighth season launches with a myth about lethal litter. Can a discarded paper soda cup kill? Guess we’ll find out.

“Fly Girls” (The CW 8 p.m.) No, not a sitcom about the old hip-hop dancers from “In Living Color,” but a docu-reality series about sexy stewardesses.
