First question: How does one get to be a bicycle historian? ’Cause that sounds like a sweet gig. But, more importantly, what the hell happened to Frank Lenz when he was riding his bike around the world back in the 1890s? Author David Herlihy can probably answer the first one pretty easily. The second is the subject of his book The Lost Cyclist , which traces Lenz’ trek to eastern Turkey, where Lenz disappeared on his way back to Europe.
