Kirstin Diener makes some freaky cool metal jewelry. Her necklaces, pins, bracelets and pendants look simultaneously antique and contemporary. You might have seen some of her work at the recent exhibit of Albuquerque area artists at the Albuquerque Museum. If you missed it there, a new show of Diener's funky art jewelry opens this Friday, Oct. 17, with a reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Mariposa Gallery. Along with Diener's jewelry, you'll also find ceramics by Maxine Chelini and sculptural figures by Michelle Marquette. The show will run through Nov. 16. For details, call 268-6828.
