Acting Now is a free quarterly online journal dedicated to exploring the culture of acting. The first issue went online New Year's Day. I spent a couple hours poking around the site.
Acting Now has an attractive, clean design, and it's nice and easy to navigate. This month's feature articles include interviews with actress Viola Davis and director Neil Labute, a piece on vocal directors, and a lengthy article on Albuquerque's own Tricklock Company. The site also features a “green room,” where future readers can chat with each other, and a “letters to the editor” section—both anxiously awaiting some action. All in all, the online zine looks pretty cool. Actors and theater buffs should check it out at
