The festival will run from Friday, June 4, through Thursday, June 10. Among the highlight films will be Charles (Vampire Lesbians of Sodom) Busch's campy melodrama Die Mommy Die!, Elizabeth Gill's Dublin-based ensemble Goldfish Memory (winner of Best Narrative Feature at last year's Outfest), the outrageous Hindu drag queen comedy The Pink Mirror and the historical British lesbian drama Tipping the Velvet. In addition to the 15 feature films and eight short films, there will be a live performance by S.F. cabaret troupe Wise Fool, a poetry reading featuring four local writers, an ongoing art exhibit and several panel discussions.
Weekend events begin at noon, while weekday events begin around 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 general admission and $6 for CCA members. A punch card good for eight films will run you $48 ($38 for CCA members). A VIP pass good for every screening, every event and every party is a mere $100. All screenings will take place at the CCA Cinematheque at 1050 Old Pecos Trail in Santa Fe. For a complete schedule of events, log on to www.ccasantafe.org.
