Thursday 24 “Man vs. Wild: Global Survival Guide” (Discovery 7 p.m.) Host Bear Grylls closes out his sixth season with this special catchall episode dedicated to not dying. “Community” (KOB-4 7 p.m.) It’s Abed’s birthday, and that can only mean one thing: A Pulp Fiction -themed costume party! Mild-mannered Shirley channeling foul-mouthed Samuel L. Jackson is worth the price of admission alone. Friday 25 “Batman: The Brave and the Bold” (Cartoon Network 7:30 p.m.) CN’s quirky-fun Batman team-up series kicks off its third season with the first full-fledged appearance of Superman. Saturday 26 Scream of the Banshee (Syfy 7 p.m.) Last week, Syfy failed to scare up a real Irish spook on the St. Patrick’s Day broadcast of “Destination Truth: Live From Ireland—The Search for the Banshee Ghost.” This week, the network settles for a fake version starring Lauren Holly and Lance Henriksen. “Norm MacDonald: Me Doing Stand-Up” (Comedy Central 12:30 a.m.) The former “Weekend Update” anchor from “SNL” returns to stand-up. Sunday 27 “Travel Channel Uncut: Bloopers and Wrong Turns” (Travel 6 p.m.) I’ll wager Anthony Bourdain’s participation was begrudging. Mildred Pierce (HBO 7 p.m.) Academy Award winner Kate Winslet joins forces with classic melodrama lover Todd Haynes ( Far From Heaven ) for this miniseries remake of James M. Cain’s feminist noir novel—famously filmed in 1945 with Joan Crawford in the title role. Monday 28 “All Together Now: A Celebration of Service” (KOB-4 7 p.m.) Presidents Bush, Clinton, Bush and Carter get together to celebrate the importance of American service and volunteerism. Which is weird, because as any conservative pundit will tell you, the only acceptable form of volunteerism is military service. Everything else is a Communist plot. Especially Peace Corps. “Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations” (Travel 7 p.m.) Tony goes serious gourmet this week, traveling to the Ozarks and sampling such local delicacies as squirrel and raccoon. What, no possum? Tuesday 29 “Dancing With The Stars: The Story So Far” (KOAT-7 7 p.m.) Because the complex mythology of this reality show is so hard to keep up with that we need a refresher course. “What the Sell?!” (TLC 8 p.m.) If “Hardcore Pawn,” “Pawn Stars,” “Pawn Queens,” “Auction Kings,” “Auction Hunters,” “Auctioneer$,” “Hollywood Treasure” and “Storage Wars” just aren’t enough “buying people’s old crap and reselling it” action for you, then here’s another indistinguishable iteration. “Body of Proof” (KOAT-7 9:01 p.m.) Dana Delany stars as a sexy medical examiner. Because TV needs more sexy medical examiners. Wednesday 30 “Coal” (Spike 8 p.m.) The Wheel of Blue Collar Jobs That Don’t Have Reality Shows Yet, groaning from overuse, judders to a halt on “coal mining.” “South Beach Classics” (Discovery 8 p.m.) A reality show about used car salesmen? Sorry, Discovery Channel, automotive reality shows are so 2009. It’s all about pawn brokers and fat people losing weight now. Plus, “used car salesman” isn’t even blue collar enough to land a spot on the Wheel.
