Which girl will freestyle moguls skiing 11-time World Cup gold medalist Jeremy Bloom, soap opera actor Jason Cook or celebrity DJ Pauly D choose? I can’t imagine a universe in which I would care. “Saving Hope” (KOB-4 8 p.m.) Not a spin-off of FOX’s “Raising Hope,” but a medical drama about a doctor who ends up in a coma and somehow haunts a hospital, dispensing medical advice in spirit form. Because, why not? “Cajun Justice” (A&E 8 p.m.) Cable TV continues its love of all things redneck-ish and hillbilly-like, slapping the word “Cajun” on yet another reality show genre: the police ride-along documentary. Friday 8 “Comedy Bang! Bang!” (IFC 8 p.m.) Zach Galifianakis is the first guest on Scott (“Mr. Show”) Aukerman’s oddball talk show—a spin-off of his oddball radio show. “Bunk” (IFC 8:30 p.m.) Standup comics go head-to-head in assorted absurdist competitions (“shaming puppies for ridiculous prizes,” for example) in this semireal game show. Saturday 9 “Stephen Hawking’s Grand Design” (Discovery 7 p.m.) Stephen Hawking explains the secret to life, the universe and everything. We try to look like we understand what he’s talking about. Jersey Shore Shark Attack (Syfy 7 p.m.) God bless Syfy Channel. That is all. “Spike Guy’s Choice 2012” (Spike 7 p.m.) Spike’s annual tribute to manly dude-itude hands awards to various jocks, action movie stars and Victoria’s Secret models. “Real Life: The Musical” (OWN 8 p.m.) Each week, a team of coaches helps people turn real-life events into musical spectaculars: marriage proposals, weddings, STD results. Sunday 10 “The 66 th Annual Tony Awards” (KRQE-13 7 p.m.) Neil Patrick Harris hosts. (Of course he does.) “True Blood” (HBO 7 p.m.) Christopher Meloni (“Law & Order: SVU”) joins the cast for a fourth bloody season. Between this and The CW’s “Breaking Pointe,” I sense a new, ballet-based trend in television. Tuesday 12 “Barter Kings” (A&E 7 p.m.) A&E comes up with the faintest possible variation on the “buying and selling people’s old crap” reality show formula with this “trading and bartering people’s old crap” reality show. “Thorne” (Encore 7 p.m.) David Morrissey (The Red Riding trilogy, “Blackpool,” The Other Boleyn Girl ) is a cop who hunts serial killers. British serial killers, mind you. Wednesday 13 “Strictly Irish Dancing” (TLC 8 p.m.) Finally! A docu-reality show about a family of Irish step dancers. Just what … somebody has been waiting for.
