Thursday 11

“Community” (KOB-4 7 p.m.) “Community” gave up caring what audiences think about it long ago—which is what makes it such an awesome show. Tonight, for example, the entire episode is enacted by felt puppets.

“Chasing Tail” (History 8 p.m.) A reality show about deer hunting and a lame double entendre? You’re better than this, History.

Friday 12

Eve of Destruction (Reelz 6 p.m.) Reelz continues its quest to usurp the cheesy disaster movie crown from Syfy with this mini-series about a “dark energy black hole” accidentally created by eco-terrorists. Steven Weber from “Wings” is in it!

“Swamp’d” (Animal Planet 6 p.m.) Animal Planet jumps into the “redneck reality show (waterlogged Cajun subgenre) category” with this series about bayou hillbillies who marry goats and eat roadkill (not a gross generalization, mind you, but actual plotlines from tonight’s premiere).

“Spartacus: War of the Damned” (Starz 7 p.m.) The blood-soaked gladiator rebellion series comes to a close. Historically speaking anyway, this doesn’t end well for old Spartacus.

“Da Vinci’s Demons” (Starz 8 p.m.) Starz’ newest historically questionable series finds hunky young supergenius Leonardo Da Vinci (Tom Riley, Return to House on Haunted Hill) sexing up the ladies and fighting crime with his incredible inventions. (No small wonder, the show is written by David S. Goyer of Batman Begins/The Dark Knight fame.)

Saturday 13

“Bet on Your Baby” (KOAT-7 7 p.m.) No! Bad television! You do not ask people to pit their toddlers against one another in a tawdry TV gameshow!

Doors Open (Ovation 8:30 p.m.) A bored millionaire (Douglas Henshall, “Primeval”) and an art professor (Stephen Fry, “Jeeves and Wooster”) plan to swap a series of priceless masterpieces with brilliant forgeries. Based on the book by Scottish crime writer Ian Rankin.

Sunday 14

“The ’80s: The Decade That Made Us” (National Geographic 6 p.m.) Jane Fonda workout videos, the Reagan Revolution, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoons: The ’80s had it all.

“Naked Castaway” (Discovery 6 p.m.) Adventurer Ed Stafford must survive on an uninhabited Fijian island for 60 days with nothing. … Yup, the “Naked” part is not figurative.

“2013 MTV Movie Awards” (MTV 7 p.m.) Rebel Wilson (Bridesmaids, Pitch Perfect) steps up to the big time, hosting the MTV Movie Awards.

Monday 15

“Oh, Sit!” (KWBQ-19 7 p.m.) No, that first season of The CW’s extreme competitive musical chairs show was not a hallucination. Here comes season 2 to prove it.

“Defiance” (Syfy 7 p.m.) Those pesky aliens have taken over Earth yet again, and it’s up to some scrappy human rebels to liberate the planet. This show is described as the “first-ever convergence of TV and online gaming.” So if you’re not playing the video game, you’re only getting the half of it.

“Scam City” (Science 8 p.m.) Learn how scammers and con men rip off tourists, starting in Rio during Carnival.

Tuesday 16

“Who Gets the Last Laugh?” (TBS 8 p.m.) Comedians like Andy Dick, Tom Green and Chris Kattan stage wacky hidden-camera pranks. The twist here? They’re competing against one another for charity.

Wednesday 17

“Off Pitch” (VH1 8 p.m.) FOX’s “Glee” has become increasingly intolerable over the seasons. But wouldn’t it be so much better if it were a reality show? Set in La Crosse, Wis.?
