How did you get started in this business?During a holiday visit in 2013 Lisa took the family to a paint and wine place in Indiana. We all had so much fun that evening that we decided then and there to open one of our own here in New Mexico. What is your business philosophy? We first and foremost want to create a fun and inviting environment for our customers to come in and explore their own creativity. Our studio is a place to socialize and have a great time while creating your own art with a little help from our team of artists. What is your company’s greatest asset? Our team is our greatest asset. Each member of our team is here to help people have some fun and relax. We value our customers and strive to give each person the unique experience that means the most to them. What are your strongest business traits?Customer service is number one in our studio. We go above and beyond to make every customer experience the very best it can be. From the ease of use on our website to emails and phone calls the customer experience is our number one goal. Why did you choose to do business in Albuquerque?Albuquerque is a diverse area that is open to the arts and the people here seem to embrace the opportunity to try new and fun avenues to explore their creativity. What motivates you to succeed besides the desire to make money? We like to give back to the community that has welcomed us with open arms. We work with non-porift organizations and other businesses locally to support this community. What significant changes have you implemented recently? We are always trying to update what we offer to meet the needs of our customers. We have recently started a program that allows those looking to explore their art a place to try painting without the expense and mess of stocking your own studio. We call it Artist Alley. We have three open paint days where our members can come in and paint whatever strikes their fancy. They can use our paints and painting supplies and get up to 10 canvas per month for a low fee of only $99. We also have a program where you can rent space by the hour which includes the use of our paints and space, but does not have the month long commitment. What do you offer that the competition doesn’t?We not only have open hours when customers can come in and paint on their own with both Artist Alley and Artist Alley Lite (the hourly rental program), but we also do offsite parties and events. We have the ability to come to the customer for a party or fundraiser with our mobile parties. We go to private homes, restaurants and even club houses.
