Sweet Micky for President (Showtime 6:30pm) This documentary follows Pras Michel of the Fugees as he returns to Haiti after the 2010 earthquake to mobilize a presidential campaign for controversial pop star Michel Martelly, a.k.a. “Sweet Micky.” I mean, how can you not vote for a guy called Sweet Micky?

Friday 22

El Rey-Diation Marathon (El Rey 6pm) Robert Rodriguez’ El Rey Network celebrates Earth Day in the best way possible—with an epic marathon of Toxic Avenger movies. It starts with 1984’s The Toxic Avenger and continues with 1989’s The Toxic Avenger, Part II (7:30pm), 1989’s The Toxic Avenger, Part III: The Last Temptation of Toxie (9:30pm) and 2001’s Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger IV. Set your DVR for 3am, because that’s when the net starts airing 10 whole episodes of the 1990 cartoon series “Toxic Crusaders.”

Saturday 23

Jack of the Red Hearts (Lifetime 6pm) AnnaSophia Robb (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) and Famke Janssen (X-Men) star in this drama about a runaway teen who cons her way into a job as a caregiver and forms a bond with a mother and her 11-year-old autistic daughter.

“Aliens on the Moon: The Truth Exposed” (Destination America 7pm) Conspiracy-minded folks are advised to check out this “alternative take” on the 1969 lunar landing which evidently involves a government cover-up of space aliens. I hear Neil Armstrong punched ’em in the nose and told ’em to take a hike. Problem solved.

Sunday 24

Flower Shop Mystery: Snipped in the Bud (Hallmark Movie Channel 7pm) Brooke Shields stars in HMC’s latest pulse-calming non-thriller, which sits comfortably alongside such retirement-age, tea cozy classics as Gourmet Detective: A Healthy Place to Die, Garage Sale Mystery: The Wedding Dress and Murder, She Baked: A Chocolate Chip Mystery. (No, I did not make those up.)

“Game of Thrones” (HBO 7pm) It’s season six and we’re beyond the books, people. Your fantasy geek friends can’t spoil it for you anymore, because they have no idea what’s going to happen now. Is Jon Snow dead? Will Daenerys ever find a man strong enough to love her? Whatever happened to that Bran Stark kid? Tune in to find out.

Rebellion (Sundance 9pm) The birth of modern-day Ireland is chronicled in Sundance’s dramatic miniseries. Cast includes Brian Gleeson (Snow White and the Huntsman), Charlie Murphy (Philomena), Michelle Fairley (“Game of Thrones”) and Sarah Greene (“Penny Dreadful”).

Monday 25

Heart of a Dog (HBO 7pm) Musical performance artist Laurie Anderson contributes this odd, artsy and surprisingly touching tribute to her beloved rat terrier (among other things).

Tuesday 26

“Top Gear” (History 7pm) After nearly a two-year absence, the American “Top Gear” crew (Rutledge Wood, Tanner Foust and Adam Ferrara) returns to History with some more high-speed hijinks.

Wednesday 27

“Flying Monsters with David Attenborough” (Smithsonian 6pm) Naturalist David Attenborough embarks on a journey 200 million years into the past (not literally, mind you) to explore the ancient world of the pterosaur.
