“The Rundown with Robin Thede” (BET 9pm) BET jumps into the late-night talk show realm with former “The Nightly Show With Larry Wilmore” head writer Robin Thede.

“Lore” (Amazon streaming anytime) Aaron Mahnke’s popular podcast—exploring the truth behind scary myths—gets turned into a horror anthology.

“Sigmund and the Sea Monsters” (Amazon streaming anytime) Sid & Marty Krofft’s mid-’70s mix of live-action and life-sized foam-rubber puppets gets rebooted for a new generation.

“Mindhunter” (Netflix streaming anytime) Director David Fincher (Se7en, Zodiac, Gone Girl) collaborates with actress Charlize Theron to executive produce this dark drama about FBI special agents who hunt down serial killers.

“Spongebob Squarepants: The Legend of Boo-Kini Bottom” (Nickelodeon 5pm) The ghostly Flying Dutchman returns to Bikini Bottom in time for this Halloween special.

Saturday 14

“Nickelodeon’s Ultimate Halloween Haunted House 2017” (Nickelodeon 6pm) Hidden cameras capture Nickelodeon stars (Lizzy Greene, Ricardo Hurtado, Breanna Yde, Jade Pettyjohn, JoJo Siwa) as they make their way through the “ultimate” haunted house.

“Dirk Gentley’s Holistic Detective Agency” (BBC America 7pm) This mad, crazy, brilliant adaptation of Douglas Adams’ book series enters season two with former bellboy Todd (Elijah Wood) reluctantly looking for loony detective Dirk (Samuel Barnett) while invincible, fate-driven assassin Bart (the completely awesome Fiona Dourif) searches for her unwitting partner-in-crime Ken (Mpho Koaho).

Sunday 15

Psycho In-Law (Lifetime 6pm) It’s been two years since Tina’s husband-to-be, Brock, lost his first wife in a tragic accident. Everybody is thrilled to see Brock and Tina so happy—everybody, that is, except for Brock’s former mother-in-law. (Cue ominous music.) Hey, if you liked Lifetime’s The Psycho She Met Online and Psycho Wedding Crasher, you’ll love Psycho In-Law.

“White Famous” (Showtime 8pm) From executive producer Jamie Foxx and “Californication” creator Tom Kapinos comes this sitcom (loosely based on Foxx’s life and career) about a stand-up comic (Jay Pharoah) who is suddenly thrust into the Hollywood limelight.

Monday 16

“Horror at the Cecil Hotel” (ID 8pm) Investigation Discovery’s new crime docu-series examines the death of Canadian student Elisa Lam, whose body was found inside the water-supply cistern at LA’s Cecil Hotel. According to ID, the hotel is known for its “rich history of murders, suicides and unexplained deaths.”

Tuesday 17

“Slasher 2: Guilty Party” (Netflix streaming anytime) The Canadian, “American Horror Story”-esque anthology “Slasher” returns with the same cast, but a different story—this one about former camp counselors being stalked by, you guessed it, a slasher.

“Loudermilk” (Audience 8:30pm) Writer-director Peter Farrelly (Dumb and Dumber, There’s Something About Mary) is the man behind this comedy about a recovering alcoholic and substance abuse counselor with an extremely bad attitude. Ron Livingston (“Band of Brothers,” Office Space) stars.

Wednesday 18

“The Secret World of Super Posh Pets” (Animal Planet 7pm) Why would Animal Planet want to make me hate cute pets as much as I hate the Kardashians?
