BET’s “New Edition” biopic is up for an award. So there’s that.Tuesday 16“Black Lightning” (KWBQ-19 8pm) The CW—already crowded with such comic book superhero shows as “Arrow,” “The Flash,” “Supergirl,” “Legends of Tomorrow” and … uh, “Riverdale”—adds DC’s “Black Lightning” to the roster. Cress Williams (“Close to Home,” “Nash Bridges”) stars as a retired superhero/family man who returns to the crimefighting life after a local gang messes with his neighborhood. Wednesday 17“American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace” (FX 11pm) “American Crime Story” turns from footballer O.J. Simpson to fashion designer Gianni Versace. Édgar Ramirez (Carlos, Zero Dark Thirty) stars as Gianni Versace, Penélope Cruz (Volver, All the Pretty Horses) stars as Donatella Versace, Ricky Martin (“Livin’ la Vida Loca” singer) is Antonio D’Amico and Darren Criss (“Glee”) pops by as serial killer Andrew Cunanan. “Corporate” (Comedy Central 11pm) From the writers of “The Eric Andre Show” and “The Comedy Show Show” comes this new sitcom which promises “a dark, edgy look at life as a junior-executive-in-training at your average, soulless multi-national corporation.”
