Thursday 7“TAKE 5: Beyond the Parades” (Sundance Now streaming anytime) Not a documentary about the third-string, late ’90s boy band, but a collection of short documentaries about LGBTQ identity, transformation and acceptance.“Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger” (Freeform 6pm) The latest Marvel superhero show is a teen-oriented action drama about a young white girl and a young black man from different backgrounds who develop complementary superpowers. (She creates daggers out of light, he controls darkness.) It’s been heavily reworked and relocated (to New Orleans) from the original ’80s comic.“American Woman” (Paramount 8pm) “Inspired” by the life of child actress/“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Kyle Richards, this flashback drama centers on a wife and mother in the ’70s who finds out her husband is having an affair, gets divorced and struggles to raise two daughters amid “the rise of second-wave feminism.” So, “One Day at a Time,” but a lot less funny.Friday 8Sense8 (Netflix streaming anytime) The odd, arty, multinational sci-fi drama from Lana and Lilly Wachowski and J. Michael Straczynski finally wraps up with this two-hour movie.“Just Another Immigrant” (Showtime 7pm) Popular UK comedian Romesh Ranganathan stars in this humorous docu-series which follows Ranganathan as he uproots his family from Sri Lanka and relocates them all to Los Angeles.Saturday 9“Big Hero 6: The Series” (Disney 10am) The Marvel-comic-turned-Disney-movie returns as a (traditionally) animated series. A 14-year-old boy genius, an inflatable healthcare robot (the lovable Beymax) and a bunch of his friends form a high-tech superhero team in futuristic San Francisco.“Dodo Heroes” (Animal Planet 7:02pm) This nature-based docu-series relates “inspiring” stories of animals in need and the humans who go to unimaginable lengths to save them.Sunday 10“The 72nd Annual Tony Awards” (KRQE-13 7pm) Singers Josh Groban and Sara Bareilles serve as hosts. Among this year’s nominees are Frozen, Mean Girls, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and SpongeBob SquarePants—proving that Broadway isn’t dead, just feeding off movies and TV.Monday 11“Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings” (Freeform 6pm) Did you know you can get married at Disneyland? Did you know you can watch people get married at Disneyland every week on Freeform?“David Cassidy: The Last Session” (A&E 7pm) A&E looks into the life and music of ’70s teen heartthrob David Cassidy.Tuesday 12“The Last Defense” (KOAT-7 9:01pm) Actress Viola Davis (“How to Get Away With Murder”) produces this crime-based docu-series that “exposes and explores flaws in the American justice system” by showcasing emotional, real-life death row cases.Wednesday 13“Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell & Back” (KRQEDT2 8pm) I’m not clear why TV keeps coming up with “new” shows for Gordon Ramsay. They’re all the same two shows: He’s either yelling at chefs of yelling at restaurant owners. This one’s the latter.
