Thursday 20“Dead Lucky” (Sundance Now) Sundance’s streaming video on demand service adds this Australian drama about two feuding detectives hunting down a cop killer. Rachel Griffiths (“Six Feet Under”) stars.Friday 21“Dragon Pilot: Hisone and Masotan” (Netflix streaming anytime) A bumbling young female pilot joins Japan’s Air Self-Defense Force only to learn that her high-flying new mecha is actually a dragon wearing armor. … Yup, it’s an anime.“The Good Cop” (Netflix streaming anytime) Tony Danza and Josh Groban (what???) star in this remake of an Israeli cop dramedy.“Maniac” (Netflix streaming anytime) This dark comedy spins the story of two sad sacks who volunteer for an experimental pharmaceutical treatment which promises to cure every mental illness or heartbreak with no complications or side-effects whatsoever. Good luck with that. Novelist Patrick Somerville (The Bright River) and director Cary Fukunaga (“True Detective”) are behind the camera while Emma Stone and Jonah Hill are in front of it. Impressive.Saturday 22Truly, Madly, Sweetly (Hallmark 7pm) This sound-alike rom-com features 100 percent less Alan Rickman than Truly, Madly, Deeply. But it does have two strangers (a food truck owner and a finance manager) who each inherit half of a once-famous bakery. I mean, I can’t even imagine how such a crazy situation would work itself out. … Unless they fell in love with each other. But that seems unlikely, right?Sunday 23Anne of Green Gables: Fire and Dew (KNME-5 7:30pm) Anne fans, rejoice in a made-for-TV sequel to L.M. Montgomery’s beloved coming-of-age novels. Seems plucky young orphan Anne Shirley has moved away from Prince Edward Island to attend classes at teacher’s college. (They grow up so fast.)Monday 24“Magnum P.I.” (KRQE-13 8pm) Jay Hernandez (Suicide Squad, “Scandal”) takes over for Tom Selleck as Thomas Magnum. I’m OK with that. Also, Higgins is a hot British woman. That one kinda weirds me out.“Manifest” (KOB-4 9pm) In this “Lost”-like sci-fi mystery, a plane loaded with passengers lands at an airport—five years after it vanished off the radar. For everyone on board, though, no time has passed. As they try to reintegrate into society, the passengers begin to experience “strange phenomena.”Tuesday 25“FBI” (KRQE-13 8pm) I wonder if Trump will start tweeting about how this show is just a “low-rated,” deep state conspiracy to drive “The Apprentice” off the air?“New Amsterdam” (KOB-4 9:01pm) Hunky young doctor clashes with profit-driven hospital administrators to save patients. Also, some romance. Now that’s innovative TV!“Mr. Inbetween” (FX 12:30am) In this Australian drama, a deadpan hitman (Scott Ryan, who wrote, directed and starred in the 2005 movie this is based on) navigates his deadly business—plus his friendships, parental responsibilities and a fledgling romance.Wednesday 26“A Million Little Things” (KOAT-7 9pm) Weepy ensemble drama about friends, family and death. So basically “This Is Us,” but on ABC.
