“Europe in Chaos: Brexit” (Smithsonian 6pm) In a way it’s sort of comforting to know that the rest of the world is in political turmoil as well. Heck, the Germans even have a word for that feeling: schadenfreude.

“Abby’s” (KOB-4 8:30pm) From producers/creators Michael Schur (“The Good Place, “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” “Parks and Recreation”) and Josh Malmuth (“New Girl,” “Superstore”) comes this surefire comedy hit. Natalie Morales (“The Middleman,” “BoJack Horseman”) stars as a woman who opens an unlicensed, makeshift bar in her San Diego backyard.

“Tacoma FD” (truTV 8:30pm) From the members of the Broken Lizard comedy troupe comes this sitcom about the bored members of “a firehouse in the wettest city in America.”

Friday 29

“Hanna” (Amazon streaming anytime) The 2011 action film (starring Saoirse Ronan) as a 15-year-old super assassin on the run gets the series treatment with Esme Creed-Miles (daugher of Samantha Morton) taking over the title role.

“Osmosis” (Netflix streaming anytime) In near future Paris, two brilliant siblings unveil the ultimate dating app—a high-tech implant designed to pair up soul mates. But wouldn’t you know it, the beta test yields “unwelcome” surprises. This one comes from writer-creator Audrey Foucheé (who gave us the eerie French anti-zombie series “The Returned”).

“Traitors” (Netflix streaming anytime) Emma Appleton (“The End of the F***ing World”) stars in this drama about a British civil servant who agrees to spy on her own government for the Americans in the aftermath of World War II.

“The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs” (Shudder streaming anytime) World famous “drive-in movie critic” Joe Bob Briggs returns to host this movie series spotlighting cult horror hits (Blood Fest, Sleepaway Camp, Tourist Trap, Sorority Babes at the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama).

Saturday 30

“Victor and Valentino” (Cartoon Network 10:30am) Two half brothers spend a summer with their grandmother in Monte Macabre, a small and mysterious town where Mesoamerican myths and legends come to life.

“Represent Change: 50th NAACP Image Awards” (TV One 6pm) Anthony Anderson (“Black-ish”) hosts.

Sunday 31

“Mrs. Wilson on Masterpiece Theater” (KNME-5 8pm) Ruth Wilson (Jane Eyre) stars in this three-part drama inspired by the historical memoir of Ms. Wilson’s own grandmother—stretching from ’30s India to ’60s London.

Monday 1

“The Twilight Zone” (CBS All Access) Simon Kinberg (X-Men: The Last Stand, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Sherlock Holmes) and Jordan Peele (Get Out, Us) are behind this latest reboot of the classic sci-fi anthology. Peele also gets to do Rod Serling duty.

“Ultraman” (Netflix streaming anytime) The long-running. live-action Japanese superhero series (since 1966) returns (in something like the 33rd iteration) to fight off more giant monsters from space.

Tuesday 2

“Growing Up Chrisley” (USA 8:31pm) Savannah and Chase, Todd Chrisley’s adult children get their own spin-off series from the inexplicably popular reality series “Chrisley Knows Best.”

Wednesday 3

“You’re the Worst” (FXX 8pm) The final episode of this dark and dirty and romcom finds acerbic Gretchen (Aya Cash) and narcissistic Jimmy (Chris Geere) finally manning up and getting married.
