Thursday 20“Holey Moley” (KOAT-7 7pm) Summer TV is crammed full of unoriginal (but cheap to produce) game shows. At least this one, which combines “extreme” miniature golf with the wacky obstacle course shenanigans of “Wipeout,” has some slapstick energy.“Spin the Wheel” (KRQEDT-2 8pm) This game show, on the other hand, features host Dax Shepard and a gigantic prize wheel. It’s basically “Wheel of Fortune” … but with a bigger wheel. “Reef Break” (KOAT-7 9pm) Cat Chambers (Poppy Montgomery, “Without a Trace”) stars as a sexy young thief/surfer with an FBI agent ex-husband who works as a “fixer” for the governor of a Pacific Island paradise. Think “Magnum, P.I.” crossed with Point Break—but less believable.Friday 21“The Bravest Knight” (Hulu streaming anytime) Based on Daniel Errico’s kids book, this animated fantasy follows a same-sex, mixed-race couple (a knight and a prince) raising a 10-year-old adopted daughter. Among the voice actors: T.R. Knight, RuPaul, Christine Baranski, Wanda Sykes and A.J. McLean.“Mr. Iglesias” (Netflix streaming anytime) Stand-up comic Gabriel Iglesias stars in this sitcom about a good-natured high school history teacher who tries to help a group of gifted misfits. That sounds like a concept somebody pulled out of the back drawer for the 14th time.“Ghosts of Morgan City” (Travel 7pm) Because you can never have too many ghost hunter shows on Travel Channel.Saturday 22“BIG3 Basketball” (KRQE-13 6pm) If your life has no meaning now that basketball season is over, relax. Rapper/actor Ice Cube has created a three-on-three summer basketball league featuring assorted past-their-prime ballers like Amar’e Stoudemire, Carlos Boozer, Lamar Odom and Stephen Jackson.Sunday 23“Highwire Live in Times Square with Nik Wallenda” (KOAT-7 7pm) Since 1922 The Flying Wallendas have been highwire circus performers. Every decade or so, several members of the family fall and die or are seriously injured. (The last time was a five-person tumble in 2017, in which Lijana Wallenda broke nearly every bone in her face). Here, Nik Wallenda walks across Times Square (hopefully without falling).Monday 24“Years and Years” (HBO 7pm) Emma Thompson stars in this “futuristic family drama” written by “Doctor Who” scribe Russell T Davies. The six-part story follows a Manchester family as they are reunited by the birth of the newest member of their clan. Over the next 15 years, Britain enters a future “made increasingly unstable by politics, economic shifts and technological advances.”Tuesday 25“Tiananmen: The People Versus the Party” (KNME-5 8pm) PBS marks the anniversary of the Tiananmen Square Massacre with this documentary look back at China’s brutal crackdown on political protests.Wednesday 26“Stonewall OutLoud” (YouTube streaming anytime) To mark the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots, YouTube airs this documentary about the history of the modern LGBTQ+ community.“2020 Democratic Presidential Primary Debate” (KOB-4 7pm) Twenty of the “top candidates” have been broken into two groups of 10. Half of them scrap it out tonight. The other half show up tomorrow night. Let the culling begin.
