Also, Pentatonix is there—but those guys pop up like bedbugs this time of year.“The 88th Annual Hollywood Christmas Parade” (KWBQ-19 7pm) This year’s parade features a 35-year reunion of the “Charles In Charge” cast (Scott Baio, Willie Aames, Jennifer Runyon Corman and Josie Davis). If that Christmas miracle doesn’t get you to watch, I don’t know what will.“Mel Brooks: Unwrapped” (HBO 7pm) On the eve of bringing Young Frankenstein to the stage in London, Mel Brooks embarks on a tour of Hollywood (and his own career therein) with British filmmaker Alan Yentob.Saturday 14“Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer” (KRQE-13 7pm) The much-loved Rankin-Bass animated TV special from 1964 returns in all its stop-motion glory.Sunday 15“The 42nd Annual Kennedy Center Honors” (KRQE-13 7pm) Earth, Wind & Fire, Sally Field, Linda Ronstadt and “Sesame Street” (the entire show) are the recipients of this year’s Kennedy Center Honors. “The Christmas Caroler Challenge” (KWBQ-19 7pm) Dean Cain (who hosts everything this time of year) hosts this reality show competition in which “celebrity judges” choose the best Christmas carolers in America. Like that was a thing that needed settling.Monday 16“Greatest Holiday Commercials Countdown 2019” (KWBQ-19 8pm) There are 12 commercials, one for each of the 12 days of Christmas! Just don’t get them mixed up with the actual commercials airing during this holiday special.“Christmas With the Tabernacle Choir Featuring Kristin Chenoweth” (KNME-5 8pm) Broadway baby Kristin Chenoweth gets her Mormon Tabernacle on, singing along with Utah’s favorite backup band.“A Very Brady Renovation: Holiday Edition” (HGTV 8pm) Having rebuilt the entire house used in exterior shots of “The Brady Bunch” to resemble the house seen on TV, HGTV invites the show’s cast back to decorate and cook up a retro-themed holiday meal. (Yes, there will be gelatin salad.)“Holidays With the Houghs” (KOB-4 9:01pm) “Dancing With the Stars” alumni Derek and Julianne Hough stage a bunch of musical and dance performances, “putting their spin on holiday classics.” Tuesday 17“Dogs of the Year” (KWBQ-19 7pm) “Entertainment Tonight” hosts Kevin Frazier and Nischelle Turner count down the “top 10 dog stories of 2019.” Well, there was that soldier dog who got to go the the White House, and … some other canine-related stuff, I’m sure.Well Groomed (HBO 7pm) HBO’s latest sporting documentary explores the “sport” of competitive dog grooming. Wednesday 18“Soundtrack” (Netflix streaming anytime) Joshua Safran (“Gossip Girl,” “Quantico”) is the creator and executive producer of this musical drama that takes a look at “the love stories connecting a diverse, disparate group of people in contemporary Los Angeles through the music that lives inside their hearts and minds.” Personally speaking, my music lives inside my spleen—but, to each his own.“Wisting” (Sundance Now streaming anytime) Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix, “Jessica Jones”) stars in this Nordic noir detective series about a Norwegian homicide detective chasing an American serial killer.“Live in Front of a Studio Audience” (KOAT-7 7pm) ABC’s live re-staging of old “All in the Family” and “Good Times” episodes was a surprisingly funny and heartfelt hit earlier this year.
