“Being Bobby Brown” (Bravo 8 p.m.) Seriously, guys. It was cute when Ozzy Osbourne did it, but I really and truly don't care to see week after week of celebrities sitting around watching TV, picking out paint samples and sending their assistants to the dry cleaners. Bobby Brown, Paris Hilton, Anna Nicole Smith, Travis Barker, Farrah Fawcett, Victoria Gotti, Ashlee Simpson, Nick & Jessica, Britney & Kevin and all the other folks waiting in the wings, let this serve as notice: Your lives aren't nearly as interesting as you think they are.
Friday 1
Sybil (TV Land 6 p.m.) Breaking out of the usual sitcom rerun mold, TV Land airs this controversial 1976 miniseries starring Sally Field as a chick with 17 personalities. Nowadays, only Hollywood serial killers seem to have multiple personalities, but they were a very trendy thing back in the '70s. Oddly enough, this Golden Globe winner has never been available on video or DVD.
“So Awesomely Canadian” (VH1 8 p.m.) So like us, yet so alien, our northern brothers. Who could forget Bryan Adams, Rush, Aerosmith, Barenaked Ladies, Celine Dion and … um … Bachman-Turner Overdrive?
Saturday 2
“Duke City Shootout” (KWBQ-19 9:30 p.m.) Our local WB station whets our appetites for the upcoming Duke City Shootout (formerly known as “Flicks on 66”) by screening a few of the short films that were shot during previous festivals, including “Clown Camp” and “Drive-By.”
Sunday 3
The Wizard of Oz (TCM 6 p.m.) TCM's annual screening of this fantasy classic is being done as a fundraiser for FilmAid International, an organization that screens movies in refugee camps around the world. Glinda the Good Witch would be proud.
Monday 4
“Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular: The Light of Freedom” (KOB-4 8 p.m.) And what says “freedom” better than a scantily clad Mariah Carey warbling in front of several hundred thousand dollars' worth of Chinese-made explosives?
“An American Celebration at Ford's Theater: A Salute to the Troops” (KOAT-7 9 p.m.) And who better to salute our troops than redneck comedian Jeff Foxworthy, teen star Hilary Duff and the star of Earth Girls Are Easy, Geena Davis?
“The Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular” (KRQE-13 9 p.m.) Heck, why even bother to look out your window at the fireworks?
Tuesday 5
“The '70s House” (MTV 11:30 p.m.) I'm hoping that MTV is keeping its tongue planted firmly in its cheek for this “updated” version of PBS reality shows like “Frontier House” and “Colonial House” which forces people to live in a '70s pad furnished with such challenging items as shag carpeting, 2-bit videogame systems and non-cell phones.
Watch the Skies (TCM 8:30 p.m.) This crash course on the history of sci-fi films takes viewers on a documentary journey from George Méliès' 1903 film A Trip to the Moon to George Lucas' Star Wars, Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.

“The Mind of Mencia” (Comedy Central 11:30 p.m.) Outspoken comedian Carlos Mencia gets his own stand-up-laced show.
