Look Inside— Here’s an odd one for you. This weekend, the Albuquerque Museum will open a new exhibit of work from the Mütter Museum, Philadelphia’s famed museum of medical science. The exhibit consists entirely of historical medical photographs. Curator Laura Lindgren will present an opening day lecture at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 21. For details, call 243-7255.

Agnes of God— The Desert Rose Playhouse, the NE Heights’ only theater, opens a new production of John Pielmeier’s Agnes of God , about a young nun accused of killing her own baby. Politic You might know the name Joe Forrest Sackett from its association with several locally produced, socially minded plays. Sackett has now turned his attention to visual art for a solo exhibit at the Harwood Art Center. Titled Politic , the show incorporates symbols and images from the daily news into steel and mixed-media work, urging viewers to consider these images in the context of our polarized political environment. A reception for the exhibit will be held this Friday, Jan. 19, from 5 to 8:30 p.m. in conjunction with ArtsCrawl (artscrawl.org). It runs through the end of the month. 242-6367.

Emergence Artspace 116 unveils a new exhibit of ornate, hand-built vessels created by artist Sharon Brush. Lorca Tribute— Up in Placitas, the next installment in the Duende Poetry Series features four New Mexico poets—Gary Bower, Gary Glazner, Leo Romero and Joan Logghe—paying tribute to the great Spanish poet Federico Garcia Lorca. Flamenco dancer Susana Garrett will also perform, accompanied by guitarist El Niño David. The tribute takes place at Anasazi Fields Winery on Sunday, Jan. 21, at 3 p.m. Suggested donation: $3. 897-0285.
