The Mother Road Theatre Company has put a lot of effort into mixing theater and conversation with the audience and the performers, as with the recent Young Playwrights Festival and its preseason Prebut . Continuing on that trend, Mother Road presents its first installment of Page to Stage, a program designed to let the audience participate in preproduction and conceptualization, at the Filling Station (1024 Fourth Street SW). This first installment features Conor McPherson’s The Weir , wherein three Irish lads trade spooky stories—until the exchange takes a turn toward the superbly strange. On top of readings from the script, the evening includes a discussion with the Mother Road design team and an appearance by UNM Irish history and mythology teacher Dr. Maya Sutton. Admission is $20 and includes a ticket to any show during the run of The Weir in early Fall. For info and reservations, call 243-0596.
