Luis P. Olay incorporates ancient Toltec and Aztec craft techniques into his fine straw mosaic art. He uses beeswax, insect, vegetable and chemical dyes, and wild straw to create portraits, landscapes, and traditional Mexican, Southwest and Native American subjects. This family tradition, which stretches back over a century, will be demonstrated by Olay at the Maxwell Museum of Anthropology on Saturday, Feb. 28, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For details, call 277-5963.
