Are you up to the challenge? We think you are. Do you have what it takes? We think you do.
Let's be honest, though, it won't be easy. We're asking fictioneers far and wide to compose the best stories they can muster in less than 101 words. Yes, this isn't called the Ridiculously Short Fiction Contest for nothing. We want plot. We want action. We want character development. We want romance and revenge and sacrifice and redemption. And we want it—yes, that's right—in a measly 100 words or less. To make matters worse (or better depending on your temperament), you must include your title, if you have one, in this strict word count.
Think of it as haiku fiction. Think of it as peewee yarn-spinning. Think of it as a bowl of Bing cherries for all we care, just so long as you abide by our ironclad rules and entertain the pants off us in the process.
