Room-a-zoom-zoom! The Mariposa Gallery (3500 Central SE), now under new ownership, presents a new exhibit opening this weekend featuring wooden trucks created by artist Louis Baudion. The show will also feature wooden folk art sculptures by Melody Hidalgo Dawson and shadow box collage assemblages by Karan Sipe. Artstreet, a program of Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless, hosts an art exhibit exploring the theme of music. A father and daughter duo made up of Joe and Julia Sackett produce an exhibit mixing social criticism with commentaries on 21st century families in a new exhibit opening this Friday, August 5, at the Visiones Gallery (212 Gold SW).
