Worldly Art—The Downtown Contemporary Art Center (105 Fourth Street SW) has put together an ambitious exhibit consisting entirely of artists from Korea—53 of them, to be exact. The Downtown art space will host the exhibit through the end of the month. For details, call 242-1983.

Eye in the Sky—Meanwhile, over at Artspace 116 (116 Central SW, Suite 201) you'll find the celestial paintings of Rudi Backart. Clouds, an exhibit featuring serene, square, monochrome skyscapes, opens Friday, Sept. 9, with a reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The show will run through Oct. 21. For details, call 245-4200.

Print This—Santa Fe printmaker Jo Basiste seeks original, hand-pulled prints for a show that will be displayed at the Albuquerque Arts Alliance Gallery beginning in mid-November. The exhibit is open to all printmakers and themes. (No digital prints or photography.) Accepted works must be framed. Chamber Music—Chamber Music Albuquerque kicks off its new season with a performance by the Takács Quartet of Mozart, Debussy and Beethoven compositions at Albuquerque Academy's Simms Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, Sept. 11, at 3 p.m. Tickets range from $17 to $35, with students getting in for half price.
