No, caffeine junkies, it’s not a triple shot of espresso, dumped into a cup of coffee with java whipped cream on top. Or whatever you people drink these days to stay awake. Triple Espresso is a performance by three dudes out only to jolt the funny bone. Or to put it another way, three guys walk into a coffee shop: a musician, a magician and a jack of all trades showman. Have you heard this one? Anyway, to avoid giving away the punch line, let’s just say the hair of the dog is the best medicine, but laughter is pretty good, too. Sold? Get your fix June 24 to July 1, Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30 p.m.; Saturdays at 5 and 7 p.m.; and Sundays at 2 p.m. It costs $28 for adults and $14 for kids. Go to tripleespresso.com for details about the KiMo Theatre (423 Central NW) performance of the hilarious story of three kindly fellas who get their four-minutes of fame, only to mess the whole thing up. The comedians of Triple Espresso have been working together since 1995 and their show has been seen all over the U.S., Canada and Europe.

That Bob Marley poster in the living room has got to go. Why not replace it with art? The New Mexico Arts and Crafts Fair has all kinds of work from a ton of different artists and, as a bonus, it’s outside, so you’ll get a sweet sunburn while you shop. Head over to Expo New Mexico (Central and San Pedro NE) Friday and Saturday, June 25 and 26, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., or Sunday, June 27, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It’ll cost you $5 to go one day and $10 for a three-day pass. Sneak a peek at a list of participating artists at nmartsandcraftsfair.org.

I’m really bad at telling jokes. In fact, my only joke is: How many metal heads does it take to screw in a lightbulb? For the punch line, you make devil horns and yell in your best Cookie Monster voice, “Four!” See, not very funny. You know what is funny, though? Cheech and Chong. At 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 26, you’ll want to spend your weed money ($40 to $60) on a ticket for the most famous pot-smoking duo ever. Just make sure to toke one before you show up to Sandia Casino Amphitheater (30 Rainbow Road) because there will probably be cops in the parking lot. Tickets and info can be found online at cheechandchongtour.com.

Presidential fun fact! Thomas Jefferson’s slaves joined the British during the American Revolution in order to try to gain freedom. That probably won’t come up during The Vortex Theatre’s staged reading of T.J. or the Publick and Private Intrigues of Thomas Jefferson and his Illustrious Circle , but you never know. The play, written by Mark Dunn, explores the people and events that surrounded Jefferson in 1804. Because it’s a staged reading you’ll be able to pay attention to the story instead of the silly wigs! The reading is free and takes place at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 27, at The Vortex (2004 1/2 Central SE). vortexabq.org.
