The Corrales Bosque Gallery (4685 Corrales Road) is celebrating 15 years of beautiful business with a new show of the work of artist Rashan Omari Jones. His incredible glass sculpture (he is a borosilicate lampworker) is inspired by the nature of the Southwest, using organic shapes and a love of molten glass. Storytelling isn’t just entertainment; it’s a way for a group to pass on and contribute to its collective understanding. Tellabration 2009! A World-Wide Celebration of Storytelling honors the vitality and importance of the oral tradition. Held on Saturday, Nov. 21, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Adobe Theater (9813 Fourth Street NW), the event encourages all people, and especially families with children ages 6 and older, to come and listen to featured tellers Scott and Johanna Hongell-Darsee, Terry Foxx, Bob Kanegis, David Mraz and Steven Pla. Fresh off their world tour of English-speaking-countries-with-the-Union Jack-in-their-flag, The Pajama Men return with a performance of Last Stand to Reason , called "the best reviewed show of the Edinburgh Fringe" festival.
