Sandra Alexander started Sandia Pet Products in 1990 as a combination of her love for pets and sewing. Starting with one industrial machine, she was the designer, sewer and seller. Her initial customer base was the local pet shops and groomers in Albuquerque, and the focus of the company remains the independent shops that rely on unique products, great service and love for animals as the foundation of their business.

From the beginning, Sandra provided her customers with a wide variety of styles, colors and trim patterns for collars, harnesses and leashes, allowing the independent shop to offer items not available in the big, discount stores. As Sandia Pet Products has grown to encompass a national and international customer base, the emphasis on color variety and the latest trim patterns remains unchanged. The product line has expanded to include ferret products, horse halters, portable water bowls and several specialty collars and leashes for dogs and cats. Sandra’s personal goal is to offer the industry’s highest quality products, the fastest delivery and the best customer service at a highly competitive price.

Sandia Pet Products has now experienced 26 years of uninterrupted growth, and Sandra remains personally involved in the day-to-day operation of the business. Sandia Pet Products offers retail store owners and groomers high quality wholesale pet collars and leashes in a wide variety of sizes, colors and styles for dogs, cats, puppies and yes, even ferrets! Our product line includes both design-in-the-webbing and ribbon-on-nylon. Several of the designs reflect our local Southwestern motif with striking colors and bold patterns.
