“The 23rd Annual Critic’s Choice Awards” (KWBQ-19 7pm) Olivia Munn hosts. As a critic, I approve.

“Making a Model With Yolanda Hadid” (Lifetime 8:02pm) Lifetime keeps insisting that fashion models are interesting people. So far, despite a wealth of “Project: Runway” spinoffs, the network has yet to prove it.

Friday 12

“My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman” (Netflix streaming anytime) Former late night king David Letterman returns to the realm of comedy and interviews with this monthly (yes, monthly) talk show. Among the guest stars lined up for the first season: Barack Obama, George Clooney, Malala Yousafzai, Howard Stern, Jay-Z and Tina Fey.

“Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams” (Amazon streaming anytime) Mind-expanding sci-fi writer Philip K. Dick (the inspiration for Blade Runner, Total Recall and Amazon’s “The Man in the High Castle”) gets the anthology treatment in this 10-episode series.

“Lip Sync Battle Shorties” (Nickelodeon 5:30pm) What’s better than celebrities lip synching to pop songs? … You guessed it: Kids lip synching to pop songs.

Saturday 13

Frozen in Love (Hallmark 7pm) Now that Christmas is over, Hallmark has transitioned to manufacturing broader, winter-based rom-coms. Here, a struggling bookstore owner (Rachel Leigh Cook from She’s All That) and a bad boy hockey player (Niall Matter from “When Calls the Heart”) discover that opposites attract.

Sunday 14

“Seeking Sister Wife” (TLC 8:08pm) TLC doubles down on its Mormon-sploitation slate.

“Hot Streets” (Cartoon Network 1am) An FBI agent, his orphaned niece and her cowardly dog investigate monsters and other supernatural phenomena in this goof-violent mash-up of “The X-Files,” “Scooby-Doo” and “Courage the Cowardly Dog.”

Monday 15

“The 49th NAACP Image Awards” (TV One 7pm) TV One celebrates Martin Luther King Day with a trip to the Pasadena Convention Center to watch Anthony Anderson host the NAACP Image Awards. BET’s “New Edition” biopic is up for an award. So there’s that.

Tuesday 16

“Black Lightning” (KWBQ-19 8pm) The CW—already crowded with such comic book superhero shows as “Arrow,” “The Flash,” “Supergirl,” “Legends of Tomorrow” and … uh, “Riverdale”—adds DC’s “Black Lightning” to the roster. Cress Williams (“Close to Home,” “Nash Bridges”) stars as a retired superhero/family man who returns to the crimefighting life after a local gang messes with his neighborhood.

Wednesday 17

“American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace” (FX 11pm) “American Crime Story” turns from footballer O.J. Simpson to fashion designer Gianni Versace. Édgar Ramirez (Carlos, Zero Dark Thirty) stars as Gianni Versace, Penélope Cruz (Volver, All the Pretty Horses) stars as Donatella Versace, Ricky Martin (“Livin’ la Vida Loca” singer) is Antonio D’Amico and Darren Criss (“Glee”) pops by as serial killer Andrew Cunanan.

“Corporate” (Comedy Central 11pm) From the writers of “The Eric Andre Show” and “The Comedy Show Show” comes this new sitcom which promises “a dark, edgy look at life as a junior-executive-in-training at your average, soulless multi-national corporation.”
